Our Story, Mission, and Lifelong Love for Animals
After more than 30 years of combined experience caring for animals, we began offering our trusted services to the public in July 2025. We have been devoted to the animal's well-being of animals since childhood. From the rhythm of barn chores to supporting pets in the comfort of their homes, caring for animals has always been woven into our daily lives and is our greatest joy.
We've worked with animals of all kinds, but our passion and specialty lies with horses. Together, we have hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, small animals, livestock, exotics, and especially equines. Together, we share our lives with a loyal pack of dogs, our beloved horses (boarded nearby), and one very spirited mouse named Sergeant Whiskers.
Our dream is to one day own a big property where we can rescue animals in need and provide safe, loving in-home care to pets of all kinds. Until then, we bring our dedication, knowledge, and compassion directly to your doorstep - treating every pet like family.

Beth grew up immersed in the barn environment, spending her days at a local stable from sunrise to sunset. She helped care for horses, cleaning the barn, assisting at horse camps, supporting and participated in show days. She began pet sitting as a child and has gained hands-on experience with reptiles, small mammals, dogs, cats, amphibians, and farm animals.
In addition to her lifelong animal care experience, Beth is also a successful small-business owner with over 23 years as a professional hairstylist and more recently, a salon suite owner. Her calm, caring approach and dedication helps pets feel safe, understood, and loved.
John Hill,
Lead Pet Sitter/ Animal Care Specialist
John personally grew up surrounded by animals -- 17 cats, 5 dogs, 11 aquariums, 2 bunnies, 3 turtles, and a blue-and gold-macaw. He's natural connection with animals, plus experience caring for farm animals and his current role as Barn Manager at a private farm, gives him a calm, confident touch with pets of all kinds.
John also brings a strong work ethic from his background in steel and warehouse operations, along with a compassionate heart through his involvement in community support and historical preservation efforts --- always ready to help people and pets in need.

We require a complimentary Meet & Greet before any new service begins.
This initial visit gives us the chance to:
- Get to know you and your pets in a relaxed and familiar environment.
- Learn about your pet's routines, habits, personalities, and any special needs.
- Review feeding, walking, medications, or other service instructions.
- Walk through your home or barn to discuss access, security, and any other tasks.
- Gather your veterinarian's information and emergency contacts to ensure we can act quickly and safely if an urgent situation arises
- Discuss your preferred style of communication (texts, photos, videos, or updates frequency) so you receive updates in the way that feels best to you.
- Review your preferred home access method (key, lockbox, smart lock, garage code) to ensure smooth entry during each visit.
- Learn about any behavioral quirks, fears, or triggers to help us provide calm, confident, and safe care for your pets.
- Go over your home's do's and don'ts so we follow your routines exactly -- furniture rules, off-limit areas, and more.
- Confirm your preferred emergency plan (transportation permission, nearest 24/7 vet, and your comfort level with urgent decision- making).
- Answer any questions you have about our services and policies.
A non-refundable deposit will be collected at the time of your Meet & Greet. This deposit equals 1/2 of the total amount due for your upcoming service.
For New Guests:
- 1/2 of the total amount: is collected during the Meet & Greet to reserve your booking.
- The remaining balance: is due on the first day of service, as shown on your invoice.
Returning Guests:
- 1/2 of the deposit: is due when your service is confirmed and reserved
- The remaining balance: will be due on the first day of service.
Our goal is to make sure you feel completely comfortable and confident leaving your beloved pets in our care. We look forward to meeting you and your furry (or hooved!) family members soon!
To keep things fair and timely, any unpaid balance will accrue a late fee of $5 per day ( up to $50) until it is paid in full.

At Paws + Hooves -A Pet Sitter Company, Our Standard Care Visits provide personalized in-home care designed to meet the unique needs of each species we care for. Whether you're leaving for the day or for an extended trip, we provide personalized, species--specific care to ensure your pets stay safe, healthy, and happy while you're away.
All new clients begin with a Meet & Greet appointment so we can learn your pets' routines, care needs, and home instructions before service begin. This helps ensure a smooth, stress-free experience for both you and your pets.
Each Standard Care Visit also includes a set number of visits per day, depending on the type of animal and their natural care requirements. For example, dogs typically receive three visits per day (morning, midday, and evening), while other animals may require one or two visits based on their routine and well-being.
- All visits are priced as one flat daily rate-saving you money compared to paying individually per visit.
- Two pets are included in each Standard Care Package. (Farm Animal services vary depending on the type and number of animals).
- Additional pets may be added for a small fee per visit.
- We tailor each visit to the specific needs of the species-- from feeding and medication to enrichment, exercise, and comfort.
- Daily updates with photos and videos for your peace of mind.
- House-sitting tasks such as mail pickup, plant watering, and rotating lights.
- Flexible scheduling so you can combine visits across days if needed.
- Multi-species coverage - dogs, cats, small mammals, horses, farm animals, and exotics.
For flexibility, visits can be combined within the package. For example, in the Dog Care Package ($50 for three visits), if you need two visits on one day and only one visit on another day, we can combine those to equal the full three visits included in the package. Similarly, in the Cat Care Package ($40 for two visits), if you only need one visit on one day and one visit on another day, they can be combined to make up the full package.
Whether it's dogs, cats, horses, small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, or fish, every animal receives the attention, respect, and care they deserve.
In addition, we're happy to follow your basic house-sitting instructions while you're away. This may include bringing in the mail, watering plants, rotating lights, or other simple tasks that help your home look lived-in and cared for.
Some packages also include administering medications and supplements, while others do not--please see individual package descriptions for details. Medication Rate Guide is provided below at the bottom of each "Species Packages + Rates".

Additional Drop-in Visits- are exactly that-- flexible, extra visits that can be scheduled on their own for a quick potty break or wellness check, or added onto any Standard Care Package for extra support when needed. Our Additional Drop-In Visits are designed to be quick, supplemental check-ins for unexpected needs, late nights, early mornings, or special situations. Same reliable care---on your schedule.
These visits focus on:

These services are also ideal for families who live beyond a certain mileage from our home base or have unique circumstances that require additional support.
Many pet owners initially compare our $50 per day drop-in visits to Overnight, Extended, or 24-Hour Care. While that's a common first impression, these services provide very different amounts of time, supervision, and personal attention once you look more closely.
Our $50 per day Standard Dog Care Package, which includes 3-visits, covers only 30-45 minutes each, which means it would take four or more drop-in visits to match the time of a 12-hour overnight stay-- already totaling $200+ per day while still leaving long gaps where pets are alone.
To truly cover a full 24-hour period with drop-ins, most households would require 5-6 visits, reaching $250-300+ per day with only a few hours of actual care.
Our Overnight Comfort Stay, Extended In-Home Stay, and Premium 24-Hour In-Home Care options provide far more consistent supervision, companionship, safety, and comfort at a realistic and cost-effective value.
