Schedule a Meet & Greet Appointment
We require a complimentary Meet & Greet before any new service begins.
This initial visit gives us the chance to:
- Get to know you and your pets in a relaxed and familiar environment.
- Learn about your pet's routines, habits, personalities, and any special needs.
- Review feeding, walking, medications, or other service instructions.
- Walk through your home or barn to discuss access, security, and any other tasks.
- Review any safety concerns that could affect your pet's care or our ability to safely perform services, including home access, pet containment, or enriornmental conditions.
- Confirm that pet-care areas are safe, accessible, and properly prepared for service including ensuring food, medications, leashes, litter supplies, and other essential items are readily available for each visit.
- Gather your veterinarian's information and emergency contacts to ensure we can act quickly and safely if an urgent situation arises
- Discuss your preferred style of communication (texts, photos, videos, or updates frequency) so you receive updates in the way that feels best to you.
- Review your preferred home access method (key, lockbox, smart lock, garage code) to ensure smooth entry during each visit.
- Discuss your preferred key return method for the final scheduled visit, including whether you would like your key returned directly, left in a designated secure location, or securely retained on file for future services (returning clients only).
- Learn about any behavioral quirks, fears, or triggers to help us provide calm, confident, and safe care for your pets.
- Go over your home's do's and don'ts so we follow your routines exactly -- furniture rules, off-limit areas, and more.
- Confirm your preferred emergency plan (transportation permission, nearest 24/7 vet, and your comfort level with urgent decision- making).
- Answer any questions you have about our services and policies.
A non-refundable deposit will be collected at the time of your Meet & Greet. This deposit equals 1/2 of the total amount due for your upcoming service.
For New Guests:
- 1/2 of the total amount: is collected during the Meet & Greet to reserve your booking.
- The remaining balance: is due on the first day of service, as shown on your invoice.
Returning Guests:
- 1/2 of the deposit: is due when your service is confirmed and reserved
- The remaining balance: will be due on the first day of service.
Our goal is to make sure you feel completely comfortable and confident leaving your beloved pets in our care. We look forward to meeting you and your furry (or hooved!) family members soon!
To keep things fair and timely, any unpaid balance will accrue a late fee of $5 per day ( up to $50) until it is paid in full.

Flexible Drop-in Visits- are exactly that-- quick, flexible, extra visits designed for potty break, wellness checks, or a little companionship when you need it. Our Flexible Drop-In Visits are designed to be quick, supplemental check-ins for unexpected needs, late nights, early mornings, or special situations. Same reliable care---on your schedule.

- Quick wellness checks to ensure that pets are safe, comfortable and healthy
- Light exercise, let-out breaks, playtime, or companionship.
No Package Needed: Don't need our full Standard Care Package? Flexible Drop-In Visits can be booked on their own as a simple potty break, wellness check, or a little extra companionship whenever your pet needs it.

Feedings, fresh water, medications, and other customized care are included in our Standard Care Packages. If you would like any of these provided during a Flexible Drop-In Visit, just let us know when booking. We're happy to customize your visit for an additional fee.

Flexible Drop-In Visits are available for homes and pets within a 20-mile radius of Avon Lake, OH. A mileage fee may apply for locations outside this range. Pricing includes up to two pets. Standard Care Packages

At Paws + Hooves -A Pet Sitter Company, Our Standard Care Visits provide personalized in-home care designed to meet the unique needs of each species we care for. Whether you're leaving for the day or for an extended trip, we provide personalized, species--specific care to ensure your pets stay safe, healthy, and happy while you're away.
All new clients begin with a Meet & Greet appointment so we can learn your pets' routines, care needs, and home instructions before service begin. This helps ensure a smooth, stress-free experience for both you and your pets.
Each Standard Care Visit also includes a set number of visits per day, depending on the type of animal and their natural care requirements. For example, dogs typically receive three visits per day (morning, midday, and evening), while other animals may require one or two visits based on their routine and well-being.
- Visits are typically bundled into a flat daily package rate-saving you money compared to booking visits individually.
- Individual visits may also be available based on your pet's needs and schedules.
- Two pets are included in each Standard Care Package. (Farm Animal services vary depending on the type and number of animals).
- Additional daily visits within a package are offered at a discounted bundled rate, providing greater value compared to indivdual visits.
- Additional pets may be added for a small fee per visit.
- We tailor each visit to the specific needs of the species-- from feeding and medication to enrichment, exercise, and comfort.
- Daily updates with photos and videos for your peace of mind.
- All in-home services include our Service Doucmentation + Home Care standards, outlined below on our Service page.
- House-sitting tasks such as mail pickup, plant watering, and rotating lights.
- Flexible scheduling allows visits to be combined across days when needed.
- Multi-species coverage: dogs, cats, small mammals, horses, farm animals, and exotics.
For flexibility, visits can be combined within the package. For example, in the Dog Care Package ($50 for three visits), if you need two visits on one day and only one visit on another day, we can combine those to equal the full three visits included in the package. Similarly, in the Cat Care Package ($40 for two visits), if you only need one visit on one day and one visit on another day, they can be combined to make up the full package.
Whether it's dogs, cats, horses, small mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, or fish, every animal receives the attention, respect, and care they deserve.
In addition, we're happy to follow your basic house-sitting instructions while you're away. This may include bringing in the mail, watering plants, rotating lights, or other simple tasks that help your home look lived-in and cared for.
Some packages also include administering medications and supplements, while others do not--please see individual package descriptions for details. Medication Rate Guide is provided below at the bottom of each "Species Packages + Rates".

Service Documentation & Home Care
Clear communication, documented care, and thoughtful attention to your home
This applies to all in-home services, including Standard Care Packages, Overnight Stays, House Sitting, and Custom In-Home Care.
For your peace of mind, accountability, and clear communication, we document, our in-home services throughout your booking.
- Arrival photos may be taken to document the condition of the home, pet-care areas, and any relevant areas when we arrive.
- Photos and/or videos are provided throughout the services as part of your regular updates.
- Departure photos may be taken to document the condition of the home and pet-care areas when we leave.
During your Meet & Greet, we also review any household responsibilities you would like completed while you are away. This may include:
- Picking up pet waste
- Bringing in mail or newspaper
- Taking garbage out
- Watering plants
- Rotating lights
- Other reasonable home-care instructions
We clean up after ourselves and your pets and make every effort to leave your home clean and tidy. This may include wiping counters, sweeping as needed, cleaning pet-related messes, and taking out garbage.
Specific home-care requests should be discussed during the Meet & Greet so expectations are clearly established before service begins.
Need more than 3Visits a day?
High Frequency Day Visits
Supportive daytime presence for pets needing extra check-ins
There may be times when your pet requires three or more daytime visits within the same day. Even though some of our Standard Care Packages include up to three visits, certain situations may still call for additional check-ins or closer daytime presence.
In these situations -- especially when a client lives outside our immediate service radius or when back-and-forth travel becomes excessive--we may recommend temporarily remaining in your home for short periods between scheduled visits. This helps us maintain your pet's routine, provide timely care, and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the day.
When We May Recommend This Option:
We may suggest remaining in the home for part of the day when:
- Your pet requires three or more daytime visits
- Frequent back-and-forth travel results in short/long gaps between visit times, making consistency difficult
- You live outside our main service radius
- Your pet needs timed medications, close monitoring, or anxiety support
- Your pet is a senior, recovering, or has special needs
This is strictly a daytime support option and is not considered overnight care.
What We Are We Allowed to Do (With Permission):
While remaining in your home between visits, we may:
- Use the living room or kitchen for brief periods
- Watch TV or streaming quietly
- Use WI-FI for communication and pet updates
- Bring a laptop, book, or quiet activity
- Use basic kitchen appliances (fridge, microwave, coffee maker)
- Adjust lighting or thermostat within your guidelines
- Access only the room required for your pet's care
What We Do Not Do:
To protect your privacy and maintain comfort, we do not:
- Invite visitors or allow anyone else inside your home
- Enter off-limits rooms or personal areas
- Use personal belongings not designated for our use
- Do laundry (unless related to pet care and pre-approved)
- Use heavy appliances without permission
- Rearrange furniture or move personal items
- Consume alcohol or substances
- Leave the home unsecured in any way

Overnight Stay

Reliable Comfort & Care - Day & Night
Our overnight services allow your pets to remain in the comfort of their own home while receiving personalized, one-on-one care. Whether your pet simply enjoys overnight companionship or requires continuous, around-the-clock supervision, we offer an option to fit their individual needs.
Overnight Comfort Stay Package:
Starting at $100 per night
- Overnight Stay covers a 24-hour period (9AM-9AM)
- Additional care outside of 24-hour period is subject to an extra charge based on the amount of time needed
- In-home overnight care includes the majority of daytime companionship, evening care, the overnight stay & morning care
- Feeding, medications, walks, & playtime
- Care is planned around your pet's normal routine and needs
- Sitter may leave the home throughought the day for other scheduled pet-sitting visits, personal errands, meals, or other necessary commitments
